He put a message in a bottle,
A young boy with earnest eyes.
He hurled it into the sea,
Beneath the peaceful, serene skies.
Another time, another sea,
The bottle, past recall.
It bumps into an older boy,
And he recalls it all.
With earnest eyes and wistful heart,
He reads the letter to himself.
After a bittersweet déjà vu,
It rests on his shelf.
Maybe like the bottle,
You can find your way back to me.
A love reborn from ashes,
Another time, another sea.
